Orting Red Hat Days – October 4th, 2014

In the year 1950 Orting first Red Hat Days event was held as a celebration of the beginning of hunting season. Sixty years later Red Hat Days Returns to recreate and celebrate a part of Ortings histroy and traditions. Please join us for a spectacular parade and event filled day.

RED HAT DAY RAFFLE PRIZES

1st place: Springfield XDM 40 Smith & Wesson Value – $649.99

2nd place: Ruger American Rifle 30-06 Value – $579.99

3rd place: Remington 870 # 5587 Value – $429.99

Visit local merchants to purchase your raffle tickets. Cost is $2.00 per ticket. You must be 18 years old or older to purchase tickets. You need not be present to win. Drawing October 4 at dance. These prizes can substituted for an in-store credit at the Orting Red Hat Days cost. Local merchants will also be selling Red Hat Days T-Shirts, Hats and buttons.

Orting Red Hat Days Car Show will begin in the city park.

Potty Chair Races.

Pet Show in the park by the basketball court at 12:30 p.m.
Orting Red Hat Days Parade at 2:00 p.m.
Dance at the Eagles Hall with Cylas will follow beginning at 8:00 pm.
Finale will be the Traditional Hunters Breakfast for the opening day of Hunting-Modern Rifle Season.
