Greetings Classic Car Owners!

On Saturday July 5th, Hagerty will be hosting the Hagerty Valve Cover Racing program at Griot’s Garage Caffeine and Gasoline event from 8am-10am.

This is your chance to put your ingenuity and creativity to the test and build a valve cover racer to race against other gear-heads.

Teams will consist of two members – one person under 18 years and one person 18 years old or older. Each team will build and race their valve cover racer together in a bracket-style race-off.

What is Valve Cover Racing? Think “Pinewood Derby” for the Car Guy!

Create your racer using a valve cover from an automotive engine and then get as creative as you can to make it as fast and cool as you can (so long as they follow the official rules). We will be awarding a Most Creative Design to the one team that really stands out in the creative department!

So dig out those spare valve covers from the corner of the garage, find some wheels, break out the can of paint and join us with your Valve Cover Racer the First Saturday of each month June through October!
